Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet GORGEOUS Phoenix!!!
She was running a neighborhood on the reservation. The people that lived in the area had tried catching her but she was too smart for her own good! She managed to escape their attempts for 2 months!!! FINALLY just in time she was caught using a humane dog trap & she was transferred to our rescue here in Phoenix :)
She is a very shy & a scared puppy at the moment but she is starting to learn us humans ain't so bad! We come bearing toys & treats! LOL She loves soft ropes & chew toys! While roaming the streets she was often seen carrying around a towel & entertaining herself with it!
She is still freaked out when her foster mom goes to pick her up & will still run at times-- but once she is caught & picked up she loves the loving!!
She is GREAT in her crate & enjoys the safe zone. So any adopter should have a crate available to her. It also keeps her from bored chewing & helping with house training!
She is currently about 6 months old & 16 lbs. I'd expect a 20-25 lb once shes' fully grown :) So she won't be too big! She will need a patient & understanding home that will know its going to take some time before she's a normal dog! She may always be more on the shy side-- especially with new people.
She doesn't understand walking on a leash yet but we are working on that with her as well as continued socialization! She is great with other dogs & even non reactive when they are snappy with her. She is also wonderful with kitties! I would say she would be fine with kids-- as long as they understand being gentle & going slow. Chaotic, grabby young toddlers could be a bit too much for her- at least right now!
If you think you may be that special home she's looking for let us know! Her adoption fee is 220. She's been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed & flea/tick treated :)
