This handsome gent was sadly surrendered to the shelter by his former owner. We are guessing they could not afford his medical care. Tobi is a 13 year old 9 lb Shih Tzu mix with the most soulful eyes. We can only imagine the confusion this poor boy must have felt losing the only family he ever knew.

Tobi has some medical issues and will likely not be a candidate for adoption. However, we would love to find a loving forever foster home for him that can spoil him until his time has come. Our vet is estimating Tobi has about 3 months, but could be longer depending on his care. Tobi is in mid stages of kidney failure. He also has some spinal compression, but is able to walk around just fine. Tobi is in need of a neuter and a dental, but we are not able to put him under anesthesia due to his prognosis. Kidney patients generally tend to lose their appetite and lose weight. He is on a special diet and currently eating fairly well.

Tobi LOVES the company of other dogs and is very sweet natured with new people he meets.
