Eddie and Gunner's Story...
Eddie and Gunner are the product of a broken family who went their separate ways and left these adorable boys behind. Although they could probably adjust to living apart, we would like to try to keep them together because they are all that's left for each other Eddie and Gunner are both about 4 years old. Eddie is the black and tan boy and is slightly smaller at about 12 lbs than Gunner is at 15lbs. He is a little more outgoing than his brother and Gunner seems to depend on him a little more than vice versa. Gunner is a Dapple Doxy. These boys are living with many dogs big and small now and are learning to adjust. They are wonderful with children and adults and really all they want is a safe place to land and stay forever. They are both total loverboys. If you would like to bring them to your forever home, the first step is to copy and paste this link to your web browser to fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Eddie and Gunner are now neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. Full vetting included in their joined $675 adoption fee. Transport up north is an additional $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eddie and Gunner, a Westport Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Westport, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
