Facts about Blitz

  • Breed: Beagle/Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
I am BLITZ. I am not for the faint of heart.
I am quick as lightning. I am a non-stop ball of doggy energy!
My current foster home is my 4th home and I'm barely a year old.
I am cute to look at, but don't just try to adopt me for my looks....three other families tried and didn't succeed. You'll need to want me for my extremely HIGH activity level, alertness, playfulness---and I'd expect the same of you. No couch potatoes need apply.
I just got neutered; but I was already totally alert/awake and my foster mom had to "double-check" my underside when she came to pick me up afterwards because I didn't act like I had any surgery or had been under sedation.
I am crate-trained
I am a great guard dog; as I have a great BIG DOG bark.
I love to chew on stuff....so you have to be sure the stuff you don't want me chewing on is outta my reach. I'm content being in my kennel as long as I have something yummy to chew on (peanut butter filled bones are my fav!!)
I'm looking for a person who will be patient with my house-training needs (since no one bothered in my earlier months; but I'm a intelligent fellow and I'm getting the hang of it here at my foster home.....but still don't have a lot of liberty to free-roam inside the house yet....unless I've just come in from "doing my business" outside.
I love to run and play; but I can also walk nicely on a lead.
I play well with others---esp. the BIG dogs. I AM a big dog in my own mind. I like little dogs, but most don't like me because I try to herd them and I'm just way too active for small dogs & small children.
I need a person with leadership qualities so I can "Be The Best That I Can Be" and set me up to succeed.
I am BLITZ. I am not for the faint of heart.
