Facts about Dakota

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Dakota is a small female 3-year old Pittie. She will be spayed prior to placement; is up-to-date on vaccines; and microchipped. Dakota is cat tested; does well with other dogs as long as they are introduced slowly and properly, knows basic commands. She does guard her food from other dogs so it would be best for her to be the only dog in the house.

Dakota has spent her entire life chained 24 hours a day with no shelter and often abused. But like a typical Pittie/Boxer mix, she holds no resentment toward people. She just wants to be your best friend. Dakota quickly bonds with anyone showing her kindness.

Due to her past, Dakota deserves a home where she will feel love, warmth, and secure. And in return, you will receive a lifetime of wiggle-butt and kisses.

To meet Dakota, contact me directly at 732-581-2302 or for an application. Thank you!

About Bridges To Safety Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an Animal Rescue Group. Our primary focus is to help to save animals who may be killed without our intervention. They often come from high kill facilities, abusive, or abandonment situations.

We have a strong commitment to reducing the numbers of animals in need, and require all rescued animals to be spayed or neutered, unless medically prohibited by a veterinarian. We endorse the dissemination of animal education and humane husbandry practices.

We work very closely with other rescues and no-kill shelters who share our mission. We raise money to pay for, or arrange foster care, transportation, and medical treatment. Our goal is successful permanent home placement.

Our Adoption Process...

We have interested adopters fill out an adoption application and after all references and home visit is done we follow up with a meet/greet to see how the dog would fit with the family or other animals in the household. If everything checks out and we feel the home is a good fit for the dog we have a contract for the adopters to sign. The adoption fee for adult dogs is $350 and for unaltered puppies its $300 with $100 deposit that is returned when spay/neuter is done at the appropriate age.
