Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi Beagle lovers! I am Rochester. Quite the dignified name for such a little guy, don’t you think? Well, let me put it this way, I don’t think dignified is the description foster mom would use for me! But maybe fun, playful, gorgeous? Those are words that sound more like me!!
I’m a small guy, at only 21 pounds, and I’m maybe a couple years old. Like most young Beagles, I have energy to spare! That’s maybe my worst habit….. I am spring loaded and like to jump! Foster mom has to be extra careful that the counters and tables are clear, because I like to jump up on them and explore. I’ve been known to sample an item or two, like her cell phone! But we are working on it, and I will get better- I promise!
Other than that, I am a good boy! I ride well in the car, I get along great with the other dogs here, do well with kids (although sometimes I steal their toys), and I do ok on a leash. I do still need some practice, but I’m getting there. For the most part I am housetrained, too! Although with a bunch of other boy dogs around I do feel the need to mark my territory now and then. That will get better with time, too.
Mostly, I just love to play! I love to chase the other dogs around the yard or house, or be chased by them. I love any and all toys. I love to run, so a secure fence or tie out is a must when I’m outside. A nearby dog park where I could really cut loose would be an added bonus. I would love a forever family with other dogs to play with. Besides, they help keep me busy so I stay out of mischief! I haven’t been around cats much, but when I see them outside, I want to chase them, along with the rabbits and squirrels I see, so sharing a home with them is probably not a good idea.
But if that young playful energetic (dignified) Beagle is the one you are looking for, I’m your man! I am looking for my forever home, and can’t wait to jump into your life! Tell Midwest BREW I am the guy you are looking for!
