Hello World,
My name is Darling Dempsey and I’m a delightful and adorable bichon boy of about five years old. Mom says I’m sweet, happy, cuddly, smart, and eager to please - and that I’m just 11 pounds of cuteness. (You see, I have already worked my charm on her – and I wasn’t even trying very hard!)
When I came to Mom’s house, it wasn’t long before she fell in love. I taught her how to scratch and massage (me)! Then I taught her how to sleep on the back of the couch and come when she’s called (Oh silly me – that’s what I do!) Mom says you should see my do my ‘twin twirls’ when it’s time for dinner. She says I could be a gymnast with those moves!
Mom says that I’m a natural at ‘meeting and greeting.’ I am always happy and easy going and I confidently approach anyone I meet, wagging my tail and saying ‘hello’. I’m so well- mannered that I don’t jump up on anyone, even children. I’m also known for giving lots and lots of kisses (more about that later!)
My human brother and sister like me too! I love to go for walks (I’m GREAT on a leash!) and rides in the car (I curl up and ride contentedly wherever we are going), They said to tell you I’m housebroken and a great little dog. (Aw gee! That makes me feel all warm inside!)
Dad says to tell you that I’m eager to please, very smart and fun to live with because there’s always a smile on my face. I love to be held, enjoy exploring the back yard and love being with the family. I’m also confident enough that I sometimes go off to another room and go to sleep, knowing that I’m safe and loved. I’m simply an adorable, cute and a very special boy!
Besides being special in all the ways I’ve been described, I’m also special in one other way. I have these special teeny tiny little pills that I have to take every day so that I won’t have this thing called a seizure. Now that I have my pills I’m getting ‘regulated’ and we hope I will not have any again. (That’s why I’m so glad I have my medicine.) If you didn’t know I'd ever had one, you certainly couldn’t tell – I’m just as active, playful and happy as my doggy foster brothers and sisters.
My family is hoping you will see all my cuteness and happiness and want to love me forever. Mom says I truly deserve a family or special person to call my own. Will you be the one for me? If you think you are, let’s meet soon as I’m waiting to give you all my love and attention.
