Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gonzo is learning to trust his environment at Home Fur Good. He is a five-year-old Chihuahua mix who recently arrived from the county shelter. All 11 pounds of him, his instinct is flight over fight. While Gonzo allows strangers to reach in and pick him up, or put him on a leash, if you aren’t careful he will escape right past you. After just one visit with you, Gonzo will start to trust more and more, and he tends to bond to women a little faster than men. Having treats and talking softly helps to ease Gonzo right onto your lap. The shelter can be a hectic place, and surely once Gonzo is in a quiet home of his own, he will show more of his personality. The adoption fee is $200 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our dogs is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
