Azalea's Story...
Azalea, born 6/3/16, is an adorable Chi girl who is back with Chihuahua Rescue. She had been adopted but came back because the cat at her new home did not like her and was tormenting her, so she is now afraid of cats. She gets along well with other dogs as she gets to know them. Once she is comfortable in her surroundings , she will be your shadow. She appears to be piddle pad trained but nothing is known about her potty training. Azalea weighs about 5 pounds and should not be any bigger than that as she is full grown. If you would like to meet this cute little girl, please fill out an application found at RescueAChi.com and we will give you a call so you can meet Azalea and fall in love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Azalea, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
