Sweet Annie: 1 to 2 yr old, female, cinnamon Ocicat
I thought about exotic names for this little girl kitty. They didn't feel right. I finally named her Sweet Annie because she is sort of an old-fashioned, sweet girl. She is a little timid and now a little chubby. Her face shows her gentle nature. As a mom, she was very devoted to her kittens, a wonderful, tireless mom. This is a very bonded family. Annie is especially close with her seal point kitten Silver shown in the photos below, and she and her beautiful son need to go home together. He hangs around her all the time. They make a great pair.
Ocicats are a breed that has been carefully bred to look like spotted wild Ocelots but they have all domestic cat genes in them as opposed to Bengals, for example, who have some Asian Leopard cat genes in their heritage. Ocicats have been bred from Siamese, Abyssinians, and American Shorthairs and have been shown in CFA cat shows since 1986. They are very beautiful, athletic, medium sized cats. These kitties generally need the company of other cats to be happy, although it’s said that sometimes the right dog can be their companion. They do not do well as only cats. They are social, fun loving, active kitties. They like strangers and make good family cats.
Ocicats are very loyal cats. They bond very deeply with their families. As a breeder’s cat, Sweet Annie might have had less human attention than the average Ociciat. At any rate, she is a bit shy and can be frightened by loud noises and new situations. She is a very loving, good girl and in a home with has the patience to let her adapt and unfold, she will show what a huge lovebug she is. She will give you her loyal heart forever.
Sweet Annie eats wet and dry food and could lose a pound or so. She is a small cat, fairly short front to back. Her gorgeous son Silver will be grow bigger than she is. She is litterbox perfect.
