My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bella, she was found as a stray in Western Massachusetts. She is estimated to be six years old and weighs approximately 10 pounds. Bella's coat has been cut short to make her comfortable. This help to relieve her itching and has given the vet and opportunity to evaluate her skin.

Since Bella can't type we can't tell you much about her past. But based on her temperament and the condition that she arrived in, it does not appear Bella received healthy food or proper grooming in her previous life.

Bella is very gentle. She's not interested in toys. She is interested in hopping into her person's lap, snuggling, having someone scratch under her chin, and rolling over for a belly rub.

Bella's ideal home would be with a caretaker that is home most of the time. Bella is house trained. She prefers laps to doggie beds or a crate.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
