Meow! My name is Joe Cool and I was left at a shelter about 2 years ago with a broken rear leg. Since I don’t speak the human language, I cannot tell you how I came to have this broken leg, and when the shelter took me in, their vet just wrapped a cast around my leg but didn’t set it right, so now I am left with a limp.
My current mom was looking to adopt an older dog when she came to the shelter, but here I was, looking at her through my cage window and pawing at her. She saw that I had a cast on and, thankfully, she understood that I was pleading with her to help me out of the shelter. I am really happy that she couldn’t resist my charming purrsonality and instead of leaving with an older dog, she took me home with her. The shelter had told her I was an older kitty, but when she took me to her vet, the vet confirmed that I was only about 3 years old at that time, so that makes me about 5 years young now.
Since I walk a little funny, I am sad to say that I am being terrorized by the other cats in the house. They probably know that I am a little different than the rest of them because I can’t run as fast as they can. So I spend most of my days under the bed, which makes me very sad, because in my own purrfect world, I would love nothing more than to have a human (or two, or perhaps even more) all to myself. A family who would love to have a goofy boy like me around. I am playful and I seem to have a bit of a foot fetish since I like to nibble on toes. I will let you know when I would like some attention by wrapping my paws around your feet. My current mom thinks it is very cute and endearing.
She loves me very much, which is the reason why she contacted Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue to help find a better-suited home for me where I can be an only kitty and where I won’t be harassed by other felines who just don’t understand that I am a Cool boy despite my limp. You can see in my pictures that I was a good boy by sitting very still when she brushed me so I can look all handsome for my photo shoot.
Oh, and I LOVE food (current mom thinks I am a “Foodie”). I use my litter box without any issues. I am looking for my own special person or family who would love to give a big, limping puddycat a loving forever home. I would love to hang out in the open with you rather than in being stuck in a “Kitty Cave” (which is under the bed) all day long.
