My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Everyone!
Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m Breezy Bree and I’m a pretty spectacular pup. Now I’m absolutely not bragging (I would never, ever do that) however everyone that meets me says so!

My foster Mom and Dad will tell you that I’m a very pretty and loving Bichon girl of about five or six, who is loyal, attentive, mellow, eager to please and great with people. I’m also great with other dogs. I’m respectful with the little people called children and the big ones called adults – and I’m about as good a companion as you will ever find. I am happy, sweet and especially talented at charming my way onto your lap. Dad says I just have to come near you and cuddle close, then presto! there I am.

Since I’m so loving and easy going (not to mention convincing!) I usually get my fair share of love and attention. OK, I’ll admit it: I’m, indeed, a snuggle bunny. Oh silly me! I’m not a bunny at all – I’m a furkid! Well, what I was trying to say is that the thing that I like to do best is to lie next to you (or be on your lap) or in the same room, content to know that you are nearby.

There’s more to me than just a pretty face though. I like walks, rides in the car ( I love the window down with the wind in my face, Whee!!) and am completely housebroken! (No typo there!). I also know how to sit and come when I’m called. Mom calls me an “ Easy Keeper” (I think that means I’m a quiet and content little girl who doesn’t bark much). And after a hard day of car rides, snuggling and belly rubs, I go to sleep in the Big People’s Bed and sleep soundly until morning.

Now that I’m a furkid, life is great again – but it has been a bit of a rocky road. Once I had a home where I was loved and taken care of. I was just about the happiest pup on earth. But one day, things changed. We were out on a car ride and Dad stopped. I thought we were going on an adventure! Instead, he let me out of the car and drove away. I ran and ran to try to catch him but he didn’t stop. I was alone in the big cold world and had to survive. It was tough, I’ll admit. I was out there for quite a while but to make a long story short, I ended up at a shelter. I was so scared and afraid. I was hoping that Dad made a mistake and would come to look for me and take me home. But sadly, he never did.

Then I was hoping a new Mom and Dad would come and pick me to go home, but the people that visited the shelter just walked by and went to the next kennel. You see, I’m just a little different than other furkids. When I was born one of my eyes didn’t fully develop so it is a little smaller than my other one. I don’t see very well out of it, but I can see just fine with my other one. Luckily my Aunties from Bichon Furkids saw me and looked past my dirty matted coat and scooped me up and took me to my wonderful foster family. They have helped me to know what it’s like to be safe and loved again – and promised me that there is someone out there who will love and appreciate me as they do. With my hair growing back and my confidence restored I’m a very lucky (Dad says plucky) little bichon once again.

So if you are interested in a loving, gentle, happy, affectionate– and don’t forget– adorable Bichon, and if you like to give belly rubs, then I’m the girl for you! Just fill out our application and ask for Bree. I’m saving a cuddle just for you.

Tail wags and lots of kisses
Breezy and Bubbly Bree the Bandit (because I’ll steal your heart)
