My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Australian Cattle Dog
Age: 4 months old +/-; Male
Weight: 20 pounds
Dogs: Yes
Cats: Yes
Kids: 8+
Crate Trained : Yes
House Trained : Yes; getting there
Location: Maine

Squeak is small, yet mighty! He is a little nervous about being in his new foster home. His little tail wags every time someone comes near, however he wants to come to you when he is ready. Sometimes when he finally gets his courage up, his brother Pip barges up and steals the attention away. I think once Squeak has a home of his own his true personality will shine through.

He is a real sweetheart, and his soulful brown eyes make you want to reach out for a cuddle. He likes to play and have fun, but is a bit more mellow than his brother. He still learning how to walk on a leash, and is not yet house trained. I think squeak may prefer a calmer home where he can have fun, but then curl up for some quiet time. Squeak is a sweet little guy who is ready to find his forever home.

Squeak is too young to be neutered at this time and upon adoption will go with a neutered contract and a seperate refundable $100 neuter deposit.

If you are interested in adopting Squeak please email SLN2310@yahoo.com and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age.

Squeak's adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and additional vetting he may have had. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
