Meet Cody a young female Akita. Cody comes to us from a rural shelter in Texas after her owner surrendered her due to a move. Cody is a high energy gal who would do great as a agility dog. She is extremely smart, out going and friendly. Cody does have a small animal prey drive so best she not go to a home with smaller animals. Before coming to us in NJ, Cody was in a foster home with a large, confident, adult male Akita in which she took direction from and did respect the fact this Akita was a established resident. Cody can also live in a home with children age ten and up that know how to respect the Akita breed. A fenced in secured yard would be a added bonus for this athletic girl. Cody does need a bit of manners, however she is smart and is food motivated, making her easy to train. Is Cody the right fit for your home?
