My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a dark ebony male chinchilla who’s looking for his new home. He came to NWI a little bit ago, and is now ready to leave and go to a family of his own.

He was born around 3/7/17, making him right around 3 months old. His color is called dark ebony, which is a dark black coloration that wraps around his entire body, including his belly!

He is an energetic boy. He wants to check out everything around him! Definitely a more active boy. He does just fine with being handled and petted, but would rather go out and explore, and will do so, while you’re trying to hold him. He was beaten up by siblings as a baby, hence the funky looking ear and the white dots on his fur, most noticeable by his eyes), which are due to scar tissue. This will not affect him in any way, in the future, and gives him character! We love him regardless! Super sweet, just definitely active. Doesn’t bite.

This chinchilla would make a great "first chinchilla" for someone who's never had one before.

This chinchilla is currently caged alone. However, if you interested in pairing him up with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (Tradition pellets), a goodie bag of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

This chinchilla is located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). Sorry, but we do not ship.

The adoption fee for this dark ebony male chinchilla is $200.

You can email us at amgajda@sbcglobal.net or call 219-789-0026 for more information or if you have any questions. If you call and there is no answer, please leave a message and we will get back to you.
