Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Josie
The Hebrew origin defines the name Josie as meaning, “God will give.” Well, God has given us this incredibly adorable little girl. Josie is a 35 pound, 23-month-old hound who is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on her vaccines. She has no ongoing medical issues and is not taking any medications.
Josie’s foster Mom has described her as a medium energy girl who is very loving, affectionate and well behaved. She is house and crate trained and does very well in her crate; it’s her safe-haven. She’s very good on a leash using a Halti-collar. Having hound tendencies and an innate desire to track she most likely would not do well off leash. Josie loves her tennis balls and fetch is her game of choice. She has done very well with other dogs and has some basic commands down; sit, stay and come.
As with any of God’s creatures, Josie with the help of her humans is continually striving to improve upon her skills. She would do best with a confident leader who will establish rules, routines and boundaries. This will allow Josie the time to be a puppy, a dog with no worries; the time to build trust, confidence and the skills needed to succeed. Josie has had very little to no contact with children from their early teens on down. At this time, it is believed she would do best in a child and cat free home.
So, if you’re someone who can establish and maintain boundaries while creating a safe productive environment Josie is the girl for you. In return; a best friend, a loyal companion, an exercise buddy; walking, hiking, maybe swimming or a game of fetch. Feel like kicking back relaxing and reading a book, not a better cuddle buddy anywhere around…Josie is your girl!
