Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Carmen. She is a pretty girl who is a 2-3 year old Weimaraner mix. She looks like a pure bred but is much smaller, at only about 45 lbs. She had a litter earlier this year and was later surrendered. While I don't know her circumstances, I can tell that she was a loved girl who is house broken, crate trained and knows sit, shake and come. She has taken to the female head of household (me!) and hardly leaves my side. She likes all my kids and husband, too, but is very cautious around my teenage boys. She also cowers if she hears angry yelling. I think someone used a heavy hand on her and that was likely a teen boy. Not to say she won't warm up, she will approach my teenagers slowly and take a good petting session any time.
Carmen likes other dogs, cats and ignores chickens. She has high energy and loves to go out on her leash or for car rides. She could make a great jogging partner with a little leash training. (She pulls to sniff everything.)
Carmen is really the best girl and would love a family that can spend time with her and giving her plenty of exercise and play. She would not do well being crated all day and would be much more successful with someone who is home. She has been spayed and is fully vetted. Her adoption fee is $200. If you would like to meet this dog please call Teri at 630-897-7454.
