Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello New Friends!
My name is Jesse – and I’m a delightful bichon boy of around 18 months and weighing 12 pounds who is a very special pup. Mom says I’m ADORABLE, happy, friendly, smart and eager to please. (You can tell that I have already worked my charm on her – and I wasn’t even trying very hard!) She says I am a champion kisser- (well of course,Mom, its because I love my new life as a FFurKid– but more on that later)
One thing you should know about me is that I love to play. You see, before I became a FurKid I didn’t have any toys. In fact in the beginning I wasn’t exactly sure what to do with a toy– but my doggy foster brothers took me under their wings (Silly me! I mean helped me out) and taught me how to play! Before long I was playing with toys like a champ. My favorite is my ball. I don’t know how to play fetch yet, but maybe you can teach me? Dad says I am a very quick learner.
Did I mention that I also love to romp and play with my doggy foster brothers and sisters? We run and chase until I wear them out (They are a bit older and try to keep up with me), then I go back to playing with my toys. But all this fun can wear even a young guy out, so after a hard day at play, I curl up and sleep nicely in my crate but as most FurKids, I would rather sleep with Mom and Dad in the Big Peoples bed. Maybe in my forever home I will!
Life is really good since I became a FurKid but it wasn’t always this way. I used to live outside in a yard with other dogs. Every day, my family would throw food outside and all of us pups had compete to get as much as we could. Sometimes I didn’t get enough and was very hungry. One day, the gate was left open so I went for a stroll. I got lost and was on the street for a while. To make a long story short, I found myself in this place called a shelter. It was noisy and cold and people weren’t too nice to me. That was until my Auntie with Bichon Furkids came through. She saw through my dirty matted hair that I had lots of love to give. And that’s how I became a furkid. I know I am safe and will always have food to eat, a bed to crawl into, and people to care for me. Sometimes I forget and am protective of my food so no other dog can take it but Mom and Dad are working hard to help me realize that those days are gone.
I’m learning how to go on these adventures called ‘walks.’and easily walk for over a mile. I like the park and I’m also very good in the car. Mom calls me a social butterfly,( silly Mom, I m not a butterfly, I’m a FurKid). I think that’s because I love to meet people, big or small. They say that I am very smart and learn quickly ( thank you) and willing to learn commands just as soon as you will teach me. Dad says I’m housebroken (I promise, I didn’t break a thing) and a super smart little pup.
Last, but not least, I want you to know that I am a very happy, playful and adaptable little guy training to become someone’s companion and best buddy. If that sounds like you, and you have another active furkid for me to play with, please ask for Jesse as I’m applying for the job!
Sending you wags and lots and lots of kisses,
Jovial and Joyous Jesse
