Delilah, Born 2014, F, Blue Abbysinian
Delilah is cute as a button and just as sweet and loving as can be. She is a petite little 3 year old girl. She has a soft warm blue ticked coat and is a very adorable cat. She has a slight under bite which only adds to her special charm. She managed to get outside and had a one night stand with a boy from the “wrong” side of the tracks. She has her appointment to be spayed after being a wonderfully fantastic mom to 4 mixed Abyssinian kittens.
Delilah loves to play. She especially likes “da Mouse”. However, she really likes anything that dangles and moves! She seems to have the patience of a saint—with her kittens and with her foster Mom. She always waits until the kittens are all taken care of and then chirps and asks for some attention for herself. She loves being rubbed behind the ears and under the chin. She gives gentle head butts to her foster Mom and loves to cuddle up. She has a nice soft purr that immediately kicks in so you know how happy she is.
Delilah will follow you around and wants to help you any way she can. In reality, she just wants to be near you. She loves humans. I suspect she would be fine with gentle children based on her behavior with visitors we have had. Delilah, with the right introduction, will do fine with other easy going cats.

Delilah is fully vetted, is up-to date on vaccines, except for Rabies, and is litterbox perfect. She’s in great shape and will be ready to go home as soon as she is spayed. She has a friend here, Cassidy a handsome red Abyssinian if you would like to consider two amazing Abyssinian cats. Of course, you could always adopt one of her kittens, when they are ready, with her.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!

About the Breed
Of all the cat breeds, the Abyssinian is perhaps the one who lives life to the fullest. He climbs higher, jumps farther, plays harder and loves stronger. Nothing escapes the notice of this highly intelligent and inquisitive cat, a quality that makes life with him endlessly entertaining. Staying a step ahead of an Abby, or even just keeping pace with him, sometimes requires the fancy footwork of a Fred Astaire, the brainpower of an Einstein and a healthy sense of humor! You never know what he’ll get into next, although you can assume that if you have something or are doing something, your Aby will want to be right there with you helping every step of the way.
The Aby loves to play, so plan on making or purchasing a variety of toys to keep him occupied. Teach him to retrieve if you dare. Cause once you start, he will likely want to do it a lot! He learns tricks quickly and many Abys enjoy running a feline agility course. This is a playful, persistent, loving cat who adores being the center of attention. Abys are typically adaptable throughout their lives and fit well into almost any home where they are truly loved and given plenty of attention.
