Hello Everyone,
My name is Missy and I’m a darling and delicate little bichon mix who weighs only 9 pounds and is about seven or eight (that’s in people years, you know). My foster mom says that I’m about as cute as can be, get along well with people and am very loving. Sometimes she calls me her shadow because I like to follow her wherever she goes.
Dad says that I’m a very good listener and a great snuggler too! I like to play with toys (especially squeaky ones!) and know how to play Fetch. Dad says I actually bring the ball back, too! How’s that for being SMART? I also love to just sit on your lap, snuggle and be petted (and maybe even catch a few winks.) Mom says that I could stay there all day as I like to give and receive love. She says I’m a feminine little girl who is beautiful, sweet, loving and kind – and, most importantly, I really want to please! (Mom says that is an amazing combination!)
I do a lot of things really well including (ta dah!) the Bichon pattycake. That’s where I wave my front paws in the air as cute as can be and ‘pump’ them longer than you might expect! That makes everyone around me smile! Did I mention that I like belly rubs? Well actually I don’t like them. I LOVE them! And when I get belly rubs I actually close my eyes and sigh. It’s true! I'm in total bliss!
When I first became a FurKid I had an awful infection in my skin. My former owners didn’t take particularly good care of me nor did they keep me very clean. That’s all clearing up now (thank goodness for doggy antibiotics) and my hair is growing in soft and white.
And since I became a FurKid I have been able to go on walks which I LOVE. I actually trot like a little pony. (Mom says that’s another cute thing that I do!) And I LOVE riding in the car. I sit quietly in my seat and, after a few minutes, I generally fall asleep until we arrive wherever it is we’re going.
My doggy foster brother is pretty independent so he’s not inclined to play with me, so I entertain myself. I do kind of like to have him around, though, when Mom and Dad are not here ‘cause he helps me to not feel alone.
I'm eager to please and quite smart so it doesn’t take me long to do everything just right. Well except I'm not thrilled at being around really big dogs. You can't blame a little tiny girl for feeling that way, now can you?
Mom and Dad agree that I’m a wonderful and beautiful little package of love that will bring pure devotion to the lucky person that adopts me (aw, shucks!) and that only the most special family will be right for me! That family will need to be around a lot as I love company – and a doggy brother or sister or human brother or sister would be nice, too!
