This tall, dark and handsome gentlemen…oh wait, sorry, wrong dog. Scratch that. This short, silly, perky-eared boy is Bijou who we met when he was being surrendered by his family to a high kill shelter. They were crying, he was shaking and then we were, of course, walking out the door with Bijou. While he may not be classic romance novel cover material (think Fabio) he is absolutely One More Dog Rescue material (think mischievous cutie pie)! Since becoming a part of the OMD family, our 6 year old, 10lb, Silky Terrier/Maltese mix has continued to impress us, not only with his adorable looks but also with his sweet, playful personality. Have a lap for him to curl up in and you’ll be his best bud but this scrappy pup also loves his toys, playing fetch and a nice nightly stroll with his foster family. While he is the perfect gentleman with people, true to his sassy, Terrier nature, he can have a bit of a jealous streak with other pups. He has shared his home with other dogs of all sizes and enjoys puppy playtime but a canine sibling should be of the patient, level-headed variety. His forever family should also be prepared to continue working with him on this behavior so he can become even more of a model (romance cover and citizen) pup. Bijou is completely housebroken and crate-trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. You know tall, dark and handsome is overrated.
