My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amos is a what we can an "old soul" (although he is just 2 yrs old), he is so gentle & kind, and has wisdom in his eyes. His unique black and white markings will remind you of a tuxedo, just like the gentleman he is. He is a "leaner" and will press against you showing you how much he loves to be part of your life. Amos is an incredibly loyal friend who will follow you everywhere you go. His calm demeanor would be great in any type of household. While he is certainly gentle enough to be with young children, he would equally enjoy a quiet household with endless napping spots. He walks well on a leash and appears to be both kennel and house trained. He can be shy around new surroundings and people, but his foster mom is working hard to get him comfortable with these things; nothing some belly rubs can't fix. Amos gets along well with his two furry foster siblings and loves nothing more than head pats, belly rubs and hugs. He has been introduced to cats and shied away wondering what on earth these strange creatures were. Making Amos a part of your family means adding a friend who will never leave your side!

Amos was rescued from Southern Oklahoma and came to Dolly's Legacy looking to find a better life. He has a few wounds that are healing from wire fencing during a thunderstorm while in Oklahoma; he wants to be inside & feeling secure when those severe storms roll in. We are proud to be a part of his journey to find the forever family he deserves.

Amos is a Black Lab/Pointer mix, weighs 56 lbs and is an estimated 2 yrs old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm disease. Adoption fee is $250.
