Baxter is an almost 6 year old Dachshund Chihuahua mix who has found himself in need of a forever new home. He was brought to the shelter when his previous owner was pregnant. He is a sweet boy, and will make someone a loving, loyal companion. Baxter is used to living as the only dog, but has been good with the other small dogs in his room. He is housetrained, and likes to make a outing of going outside. He likes to go out to pee, come back inside, and then go out to poop! So a doggy door or a patient person will be best! Baxter likes toys that squeak, sleeping in bed with you, and burrowing under the covers. He likes to wake up on his own terms, and gets moody if he isn't ready to get up. A boy after our own hearts! He is used to sleeping in a kennel, and goes in for a treat. Baxter is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet him today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.
