Laverne's Story...
Welcome Laverne. She is a 2-year-old 10 pound Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. She is playful and fun and just adores attention. She loves belly rubs and will do what you are asking her once she has her quota of belly rubs. She would be perfect as an only dog or with other dogs. She is very social, outgoing and friendly. Her best home would be one where the family likes to pet their dogs so she gets lots of that. She won’t need a huge yard or loads of exercise. She will run around in a yard to take care of business. She is potty trained, good on a leash and in a crate. She will make a perfect companion for an affectionate family. She can be adopted locally in Texas or transported to the East or the West Coast. She is in Texas awaiting her dream home. She was found as a stray and is now fully vetted. She has all her vaccines spayed, microchipped and ready. Her adoption fee is 170 and if we transport her the transport fee is 185. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to for an application. See her cute video too

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Laverne, a Bandera Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Bandera, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bandera.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bandera already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bandera breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bandera paves the way for another one to be saved.
