Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. I am a sweet, older gal that is looking for a loving home where I can feel safe. I don’t remember much about my past, but I do know that things looked pretty bad for me (and my brother). Everything changed for us when a kind-hearted couple found us and promised to protect us. They looked all over and tried to find our owners, but they were nowhere to be found. Our ‘protectors’ nursed us back to health (as best they could) during the past month and for that we will be eternally grateful. My brother has some health issues that need to be tended to, so he will be staying put for now. My plan is to travel to Penny Angels Beagle Rescue soon so that I can search for my forever home. This is what my ‘foster mom’ and ‘protector’ wants you to know about me:
“I would like to introduce this amazing 10 year old senior female beagle. We sometimes call her O’L for ‘old lady’, but you can just call her Lady Daisy. We found her in horrid conditions that were out of a horror movie. I cry as I write this note. We wish that we could keep her because we have fallen in love with her, and so have my 2 other dogs. Despite the conditions we found her in, she is the most loving and affectionate beagle. She loves to snuggle, but yet she also likes to be by herself. She gets along wonderfully well with our two dogs and she loves to play with them. She is great with big dogs and tiny dogs. We don’t know how she is around cats.
“Her favorite thing to do is run around in the yard and frolic in the grass. She also loves to walk, walk, walk, eat, eat, eat, and sleep, sleep, sleep! She weighs 25 lbs. now; we were able to put weight on her since we found her. She does go to the door if she needs to pee or poop. She has had some accidents in the middle of the night or early morning. We put her in a crate with a bed and left the door open and she was very comfortable.
“She is very, very smart and can push screen doors open, so make sure they are secured. If you have automatic windows in your car make sure they are locked as well… she loves to roll them down.
“The things I love most about her: her tenderness, her floppy ears as she runs around the yard, and seeing the looks she gives me because she now knows that she is safe. She is a sweet & loving soul. This little love deserves the very best life after all she has been through and she deserves to be treated like a queen.”
