Hi there! My name is Bilbo and I am a sweet older boy that is ready to enjoy an adventure with YOU! I am a 9 year old beagle basset and I am mixed with the best qualities of both breeds. I will be coming to Penny Angels from a faraway land down South and will be on a two-day journey to a mystical place where the land and water meet and the warmth from the sun fills your heart with joy. I will be in search of a new and forever happy abode where I can plant my roots and do what I do best- relax! I was surrendered to a foster friend of PABR and that is what set the wheels in motion for this unexpected journey. Not one to look behind me, I will instead look to my future and be excited about all the delightful surprises that await me.
I’m not quite sure how to describe myself at the moment, but I will get back to you with all the interesting details (including my energy level) once I get settled in Rescue. I probably weigh 35-40 lbs., but that is really just an estimate. I am a handsome boy, but of course, that goes without saying! I recently overheard someone describe me as a ‘lazy old fart’, but I’m sure they were only joking and weren’t really talking about ME! Well, perhaps there is a little truth to those words! Comfort makes me happy; I never met a doggie bed or sofa that I didn’t like! As you can see from my photos, I sure do know how to ‘chill-OUT’ and have pretty much perfected that action (OR, inaction)! I get along well with other dogs and even like people, too! I am neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date with my vaccinations, so all I need is someone who is ready to dive right in and take a chance with me so that I can enjoy the next chapter of my life.
I will be at Petsmart in Mays Landing, NJ on Saturday, 8-5-17, from 11- 3 pm. Spend some time with me. Walk with me. Talk to me. Get to know me. You will have a sense of whether or not we are a good fit for each other. Fill out an application (if you haven’t already done so) and maybe you will become my new ‘adventure’ partner for life! Just imagine all the relaxing things that we can do together!
