My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this. Cairo is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with his current owner in Napa, CA.

Cairo
Born December 2011, Male, Marbled Bengal

Cairo is playful and sweet but he knows what he likes: whether that’s fresh cold water, some chicken treats or to be let out, or let in, or let out again, he’ll tell you. He loves to be around people and in on all the action around the house. He’s especially helpful with making beds.

Cairo loves pets behind his tail, under his chin and down his back, but always on his terms. He dislikes food other than chicken and he doesn’t like being touched in certain ways. He’s the family’s jungle king and sees himself as an equal member of the household, rather than a common “pet.”
Cairo has been an “only child” since he was a kitten but he loves to play chase and has made friends with other cats in the neighborhood, inviting them over to share his bowl. In his current home, the neighborhood has lots of cats and dogs and he holds his own, but he prefers to be “top dog” in his den.

His current owners think he may be allergic to chicken, but it’s also the only thing he will eat. You just have to understand and appreciate the Bengal nature.

His ideal home would provide him with a completely enclosed yard or a catio. If the home will be strictly indoors only, he should do well as long as the new owner is experienced with Bengals and can meet Cairo’s needs of playing and staying stimulated.

Cairo enjoys tagging along on walks around the neighborhood, and playing chase or hide-and-seek around the house. He also has the cutest little snore. He enjoys a good morning cuddle next to your warm chest, and gives lots of nose kisses. He’s very talkative and has a way of saying just what he wants. He loves to snuggle down between your legs in evening snuggle on his favorite blanket.

He had a vet visit a few weeks ago and is up to date on all shots and vaccines with a clean bill of health from his vet. He loves and uses a good litter-box to dig in.

If you are willing and able to give this magnificent boy a permanent home, please contact Pam at 541-290-8408 or email at hansenpam@icloud.com and submit an Adoption Application.
Please note that Cairo is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with his caretaker in Napa, CA while being placed in his permanent home.
