Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET BELLA!! Bella is a beautiful black lab female, around 1 year old. She is a super sweet girl who was surrendered to a rural shelter in Alabama because "she did not want to hunt." She quickly found herself in danger at the shelter, so LFS stepped in to give her a second chance.
Bella is a wonderful dog with a great personality. She is a smaller, medium sized girl at around 45 pounds. As a young dog, she still has some puppy energy, but with appropriate exercise she settles down easily. I'm sure Bella would love to play fetch or go on walks/hikes with someone. She does well with all other dogs she has met but would do best in a home with another playful dog. Bella does get a little scared when first introduced to new environments or people but will warm up quickly once she sees no harm will come to her. She has done well with all people she has met so far and has had limited but good interactions with children. She is kennel trained, walks well on a leash, and knows some commands like "sit." She does well with structure and seems to learn a daily routine quickly.
Unfortunately with our foster shortage, Bella has had to stay in boarding at our vet's office. We have her in doggie daycare where she gets to play majority of the day to try to help keep her out of the kennel, but it's just not the same as being in a home. We would really love to get her out of boarding and into a foster home as soon as possible!
