My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

12/21/18... We have marked Gypsy as special needs due to her long-term skin issues. She may never fully recover and will have flare ups from time to time. She will need someone who knows this and accept the fact that she will need long-term extra care. Gypsy would LOVE be an only dog. She is with several now, but as she has healed and is feeling better she can be quite vocal towards the others especially when it comes to food. She has not done the greatest when it comes to meeting dogs outside of her foster home.

She would probably do best with an active family. Someone who can take her for walks or jogging as she loves being outside.

9/3/18... UPDATE: Gypsy is doing so much better. As long as she stays on this path, she will be ready to go very soon. As she starts looking better, she also is starting to feel better which in turn is bringing out her true personality. Gypsy is currently being fostered with other dogs although she would probably prefer being an only furchild.

8/3/18... Our poor Gypsy is still a total mess. Her skin issues are not getting better and she basically has little or no hair on her legs.

4/28/18.... Gypsy is on medical hold, but will hopefully soon be available for adoption.

Meet Gypsy! Gypsy came to Pawz and Purrz via local dog control where she was found as a stray. Gypsy was not in great condition; she was missing a lot of hair, likely due to poor nutrition. After coming into rescue, Gypsy was given some time to "decompress" and her play yard was a safe place for her.

Gypsy has started to have a little freedom to run around the house and mingle with the other dogs in the foster home...so far so good. She is a very sweet girl, listens well and loves human attention. She seems to gravitate to men over the ladies. Her play yard continues to be her safe place and you will find her in there snoozing or just observing the others. She has not had one accident in the house either!!

Once her hair grows back in, this little girl will be a beauty! Gypsy will be available for adoption soon so if you're interested in giving her a forever home, please go to www.pawzandpurrz.org and complete an adoption application.
