Moriarty is a special cat who had an interesting start to life. After being found with a broken hip as a little kitten, he eventually made his way to our rescue group. Kittens are resilient though, and to watch this little guy run and jump, you would never know he had a broken hip.

Unlike the Sherlock Holmes villain, our Moriarty is affectionate and sweet; he's also 100% kitten and loves to play, so he needs someone who will wear him out before cuddle time. He has been around a toddler in his foster home and is fine with kids, but needs people who understand kittens are basically toddlers too and sometimes bite and scratch until they are taught better play habits, just like their human counterparts. He mostly stays away from the foster's dogs but doesn't get too worked up about them. Dogs with cat experience would be fine companions in his forever home, given some time and socialization. He would be fine as an only kitty and can adapt to be with other kitties given some time. Moriarty loves water. Bathtubs and sinks are fascinating and it's even better if his new family will let a kitty drink water from the sink - heaven!! His estimated birth date is 3/24/2017. He is good with his kitty box.
