Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone, my name is Almond. I’m what’s called a “lemon” beagle because of my coloring (beige and white). I am 3 years old and presently weigh about 27 lbs (that’s down 7 lbs from when I first came to live with my foster mom).
You will find me to be quite laid back, easy going kind of gal who just enjoys sitting with her owner while she watches TV or reads. I’m very loving and get along with other dogs, cats and kids. I potty on a leash and I’m somewhat quiet. Foster mom says that I am a very sweet and loving dog who minds well, learns fast and is eager to please. I sleep in a crate at night, but during the day when foster mom is at work (I guess that’s what you call it) foster mom leaves me out with the other dogs.
My foster mom says that I’m an alpha personality, and that I would need to go to a home with a submissive male or female. Foster mom says I could possibly get along with an alpha dog, as I have with my foster sister who is in alpha. She just keeps reminding me who is boss and I accept it.
If you are looking for a friendly, loving 3 year old female Beagle who will greet you at the door with a tail awag’n and curl up next to you when watching TV, then I’m your girl.
Check the website regularly to see which adoption events Almond will be attending. She generally attends Downers Grove (2nd Sat of each month); Machesney Park (3rd Sunday of each month).
