Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Super sweet Babe came to us when her owner had to go into a nursing home. This 12-year-old is determined to see healthier days! She is recovering well from severe dermatitis and infected ears, and her sable and white rough coat is coming back nicely from her medical shave. She weighs 50 lbs. and has a robust appetite (and has been known to get into the trash, so be forewarned).
What does Babe need from her new home? She loves playing tug with squeaky toys, and she will prompt you (nicely) for some scratches and ear rubs. Babe’s foster mother reports, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog light up as much when she sees kids. She absolutely loves them.” So children, or grandchildren visiting your home, are a definite plus.
Babe’s owner had four other dogs besides Babe, including two pugs, so Babe is very good with all sizes of dogs -- but she seems to like smaller dogs the most.
She prefers sleeping in a dog bed, and would probably love to have that bed close to you. Babe is a smart old girl and may wake you up if she has to potty during the night.
With proper food and loving care, Babe will be a beautiful collie who will love sharing her days with you.
Babe is being fostered in southeast Ohio.
