My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ygritte is a beautiful 4-month old female Tortoiseshell kitten who was brought to the HSOV on September 8, 2017 along with her two brothers (Orell and Tormund).

Ygritte has a dark brown/orange/beige short smooth coat in a tortoiseshell pattern, a long tail, and a very pretty face with dual brown/orange vertical stripes on her muzzle/forehead.

Ygritte and her brothers were frightened youngsters when they entered our shelter and were kept together so that they could provide a sense of comfort/security for each other. Our wonderful kennel techs and kitty volunteers have given them extra TLC and helped them develop their social skills. They are currently sharing a large tower in the hallway of our shelter near the kitty Jungle Room and continue to be very bonded to each other. Ygritte is still very dependent upon her brothers and doesn't like to be handled. She trusts a few of our kennel techs and will allow them to hold her in she is wrapped in a nice soft 'security blanket'.

Ygritte was given vaccinations, wormer, and Revolution flea treatment on September 8, 2017.

Ygritte was spayed on October 11, 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine. She is a petite little beauty who weighed just 4.1 lbs on that date.

We would love to see these siblings adopted as a trio since they depend upon each other for comfort and security (and they are always snuggled up together).

These updated photos of Ygritte were taken on October 24, 2017 when she agreed to pose for glamour photos after one of her favorite kennel techs (Liz Stingley) held her in her arms for awhile beforehand.

Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues.
