Just like her name she is a little bag of sweetness. Sugar was rescued by boat from her flooded shelter in Brookshire, TX where she had previously lived for 3 years without being adopted, networked to be adopted or vetted.
She took some time to warm up but now she is happy to meet just about everyone. She is good with other dogs but is slightly afraid of larger ones, she is good on a leash and is doing well with potty training but not perfect. She is a really low maintenance dog, would do well in a low activity household as she doesn’t require long walks, she is not a high energy dog. She LOVES to cuddle and really enjoys finding a comfy spot right next to her foster mom. She hasn’t paid much attention to doggy toys and prefers to be a lap dog. Once you win her over she is a little love bug and can’t get enough for her human. Sugar deserves a forever home to call her own.
We think the lady that had her was a hoarder, she had 22 dogs that she had never tried to adopt out and then when she flooded she just gave the dogs away, she had never had any shots etc and we took care of all of her vetting, she was heart worm negative and overall in good shape.
The total adoption fee of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you.
