Clancy. 13 yo American Shorthair.
Clancy and six other American Shorthairs were brought to Rescue two years ago when their human mother died. Clancy found what we thought was a permanent home until his adopter found a new boyfriend. Sadly, her lifetime commitment to the cat ended with a threat to take him to the pound if we didn't take him back right away.

Now we are looking for a new home for this special needs 13 year old boy. Clancy is a great cat, very affectionate and well behaved. He has a sensitive stomach and needs to eat Duck and Pea limited diet. Even when his tummy bothers him he is litter box perfect.
Clancy has been treated for fleas and wormed since he came back to us.
We also had an updated exam and he has had a complete blood panel. A fecal analysis including an expensive PCR test has shown him to be free of internal parasites. During his exam it was discovered that Clancy has a grade 3/6 heart murmur. Thus far it hasn't seemed to slow him down, but we'd like to have a lateral Xray taken and an echocardiogram done as well. We estimate the cost of the Xray and the Echo to be in the area of $400.
Enough about his health ... Clancy is an awesome cat. He is beautiful, and was CFA & TICA registered. Most likely he was shown at some point in his life, and is likely a Champion, if not Grand Champion. He comes from excellent show lines. While it's fun to know you've got a pedigreed cat, what's awesome about Clancy is his sweet personality. He will follow you everywhere and chat with you throughout the day. He likes to sleep with you, take naps with you and help you work on the computer. When he wants you to pet him he will get up on your lap and reach for your hand with his front paw. Then he pulls your hand toward his head so that you can pet him. He also likes to put his paw on your face to tell you he loves you ... and to tell you he wants you to pet him. We hope someone will step forward to give this sweet boy the loving, personal home that he deserves in his Senior years. There is no adoption fee to the right adopter, although your donation toward his care would be appreciated.
