Winter's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Winter's Story...
Winter is an absolutely beautiful, petite, spunky and fun five-year-old old female green-eyed, white spotted black cat looking for the perfect cat-lover. This purr machine has a silky ebony coat and enjoys the company of other cats - but not dogs. Winter has cattitude ... she enjoys love and affection on her own terms. She'll come over and head butt you, purring and acting loving ... but touch her at the wrong time or in the wrong place and ouch! For that reason, she's recommended for feline-experienced adults and teenagers only. Winter is a true cat-lover's cat with excellent litter box habits. She's healthy, spayed, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, micro-chipped and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt Winter, please e-mail info@yahpetrescue.com or call 847-529-2025.
Her adoption fee of $55 helps the rescued pets of Young at Heart. And, if you adopt two cats at the same time, the fee is only $55 for both!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winter, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
