Timmy Tangier's Story...
Timmy is a senior "pocket" beagle. He was found wandering in Virginia with another beagle. Timmy gets along well with the other dogs and cats in rescue, and he absolutely loves people. Because he is so small, he sometimes gets lost in the shuffle of the larger dogs. He likes having his crate or other small space where he can get away from the larger world. He would thrive equally with another small dog sibling or as an "only" dog.

Although he weighs only 16 lbs, he's a little portly for his height. He could stand to lose 2 or three pounds. Timmy understands a lot and believe it or not, he has a great sense of humor.

Adoptive Status: Neutered and UTD on shots. Timmy will be micro-chipped upon adoption.

Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Just needs love and a human to love him.

Owner Aptitude Level: Beginner.

TIMMY IS NOT A BEAGLEMARYLAND DOG. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TIMMY, PLEASE CONTACT SISTER MARY AT SANCTUARY HOUSED AT sistermw@bwave.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timmy Tangier, a Waldorf Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
