Odee's Story...
N/M, 2 years, Pekingese

Hi, my name is Odee. I was abandoned for some unknown reason. Why
would a handsome and stately gentleman with long flowing locks be
abandoned, I ask you??? A nice person rescued me and brought me to
MaxFund. At first I was frightened, but with all of the care and
attention that the staff and volunteers have given me, I now feel very
loved and confident.

Although I still need people to be patient and gentle around me. I
like to go for walks. Once I trust you, I will roll over and ask for a
tummy rub. Also, when I go for walks, I strut along the sidewalk like
I own the world! I get along with other dogs, but am not sure about
cats. I only feel comfortable with older well mannered children.
Sounds like a big order, but if I am happy in my forever home, you
will have the best companion ever!! I would love to live in a home
that has a calm environment filled with lots of love.

Now, about coming for a visit...just go up to the front desk and ask
to see me. I will be the one strutting out to see you with a big smile
on my muzzle! See you soon!!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Odee, a Denver Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Denver, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
