GQ's Story...
GQ came in, possibly hit by a car, and unable to walk with his 2 back legs. He's been on prednisone and antibiotics to help him heal. X-rays were taken and no bones were broken, so the vets said give him time and see if he heals. Well, after a few weeks of healing, now he's walking and he even jumps up on to a chair. He still has a strange walk in his back legs but he uses the litter box and is sooooo loving. Please ask to meet GQ soon.

Act quickly to adopt GQ. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GQ, a New Kent Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New Kent, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in New Kent.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Kent already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Kent breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Kent paves the way for another one to be saved.
