Benny's Story...
POSTED 6/7/09: Benny is a 2 1/2 year old male neutered red colored standard Rex rabbit. He is very sweet and has been raised since a baby with a family indoors. There were 2 nice, gentle children who socialized Benny so he is a very nice boy and likes being handled, pet, and held. Unfortunately, Benny's "child" owner has grown tired of him and doesn't have the time to devote to him anymore and would like to find him a new home. We know that Benny is a very loving boy and is not being turned over to rescue by any fault of his own. He has not been around other rabbits so we do not know how he would do with a companion bunny, but he was neutered very young at only a few months of age. If you are interested in adopting or meeting Benny, please e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an application. Please e-mail us for more pictures. Benny's cage and supplies will be adopted with him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a Putnam Hall Rex was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rex for sale in Putnam Hall, or seeking a Rex from a breeder in Putnam Hall.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Putnam Hall already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Putnam Hall breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rex breeders who help with Rex rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Putnam Hall paves the way for another one to be saved.
