Kumar's Story...
POSTED 4/25/09: Kitten season is starting. Kumar was our first kitten rescue for the year. He is only about 5 weeks old and was found running along State Road 100 amongst the logging trucks. Not a safe place for such a small boy. He only weighs 1.2 lbs right now so he won't be available for another few weeks. All of our cats and kittens have been vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, fecal parasite tested, leukemia tested, spayed or neutered, microchipped and treated for heartworms, fleas, and ear mites with Advantage multi. Our adoption fee is $100 per cat or kitten to help cover a portion of the medical and care expenses. If you are interested in Kumar, please e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for more information on our adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kumar, a Putnam Hall Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Putnam Hall, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Putnam Hall.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Putnam Hall already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Putnam Hall breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Putnam Hall paves the way for another one to be saved.
