Iris's Story...
Iris is an extremely friendly kitty who was rescued from a terrible hoarding situation! She simply wasn't being cared for the way a tortie like her should be! Iris is quite vocal and constantly wants attention, showing that she is none the worse for wear when it comes to what happened to her in her former place of residence. She loves people and generally ignores other cats unless they approach her. If the cat is friendly to her, she is friendly to the other cat. She has been around small dogs but is not used to large dogs yet. Iris has been spayed, rabies vax, FVRCP vax, FIV/FLV tested negative, dewormed, and flea treated

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Iris, a Wakinsville Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Wakinsville, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Wakinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
