My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dutchess is a sweet, loving and friendly little girl. Her breed combination is our best guess, but we know one thing for sure - she's a beautiful little mutt with a heart of gold. Dutchess is only 1-and-a-half years old. She weighs about 38 lbs. and is housetrained, very obedient, smart as a whip and non-destructive. She is a very happy girl - all smiles and tail wagging. And with good reason! Dutchess was rescued from an animal neglect situation. She was heartworm positive and skin and bones. We immediately got her to the vet for heartworm treatment and started her on a good regiment of quality food and vitamins. Dutchess is doing great! We just want Dutchess to find the home of her dreams, surrounded by loving people in a safe and caring home. She deserves that and more! She does have a bad habit - she is not good with small children. Dutchess needs a home with no small kids. Adoption fee: $75.

Adoption Process:
Send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week trial run with the pet as part of your family. This is a trial period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the trial time and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption.
