My name is Oreo, and I am as sweet as they come. If you love Oreos and milk, then I am the boy for you! I am around 3 years old, and I love to play outside with children of all ages. I love to take walks and I walk great on a leash. I am good around other dogs, both big and small. I have been tested around cats and we just ignore each other and mind our own business. I am coming out of my shyness and enjoying getting a lot of attention from my foster mom and dad. Once I get comfortable with my human, I will snuggle and give you all the kisses you want. I am crate and house-trained and will even sleep with my humans when they let me. They have really worked with me to let me know that I am safe and secure. I recently went camping with my foster family and loved it! I went on a hike and was the leader. Camping life is relaxing! I would be perfect with a family all by myself but either way, I would be happy for a forever home of my own. I think I am part Boxer as people say I have "Boxer eyes", whatever that means. I also think I may have some Pit/Lab in me too. Whatever I am, I know I am a loving boy who needs a family to call my own. This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at Petco in Southington all three days for Petco’s National Adoption Weekend. On Friday July 12, CPR will be there from 2pm-6pm, Saturday July 13th from 10am-2pm and on Sunday July 14th from 10am-1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at Ace Hardware in Oxford on Friday July 5th from 2-6pm. On Saturday, July 6th CPR will be at Petco in Southington from 10am-2pm. On Sunday July 7th CPR will be hosting and Open House at the adoption center located at 522 N. Georges Hill Rd in Southbury from 10am-1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $450 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
