Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Do you see the #42 tatoo in my ear? That's because I was puppy mill dog #42. For the first 5 to 6 years of my life I was bred twice a year producing many puppies to be sold at retail outlets such as Puppy Coral. I made them plenty of money with my babies. Then when my age got up to 5 or 6 years they were through with me....I had a "c" section and was probably spayed at that time. It was too expensive for the puppy mill to keep me at that point!
I was recued from my life in the puppy mill and was adopted or giving to this lady. I lived there for 2 years. My life wasn't much different since she kept me crated on her front porch. I thought all along there should be something more and better to life....but what is happiness?
I am now in a wonderful foster home and love my doggie bed. I feel like a queen. Maybe this is what I've been missing all my life. I hope to find a loving home that will let me sleep in a doggie bed and be part of a family. My name is Sophie now...not #42!
Sophie is scheduled for a dental and will loose most of her teeth. Not a problem thought...canned and soft food will do just fine. She has the will and the love in her heart to share with the right family.
Please be sure you have enough time for Sophie...she really needs a lot of patience and love. Sophie will not be available until after the month of June for adoption. We want to be sure she will be ready and adaptable for a home. She is already making great progress.
