Oso and Hava's Story...
Hava the Havanese and Oso the Shar Pei are sweet and friendly two-year-old dog brothers looking for a loving home together. When their owner became too ill to care for these dogs they were given up for adoption. Hava is about 15 pounds and his big brother Oso is closer to 48 pounds. Although they are obviously not blood brothers, they are extremely bonded to one another. They clean each other’s ears, snuggle, play, and sleep together. As Oso and Hava run around in the yard together their tails wag happily and Hava’s ears blow in the breeze. They are also extremely loving and snuggly with people. Hava and Oso are well-mannered, housebroken and crate-trained. They are healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, and tested negative for heartworm. To meet and possibly adopt Hava and Oso, please contact Carol at weluvpawsilrescue@yahoo.com so she can send you an adoption application. Their adoption fee of $450 as a pair helps support the dogs of the We Luv Paws Rescue Group.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oso and Hava, a Chicago Shar Pei/Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Havanese for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Shar Pei/Havanese dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Havanese breeders who help with Shar Pei/Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
