My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arrival story: Missy was with a family with small children that were playing much to rough with her. The parents thought that the children may injure Missy so they surrendered Missy to us to find a loving home. Missy is just a love. She cannot get close enough to her foster parents. Very sweet little doggie. Missy is house trained.

Approximate age / weight: Missy is approximately 2 years old and weighs 6 lbs. She is very tiny.

Personality:MIssy is very sweet. She cannot get close enough to her foster parents. She loves to give lots of kisses and she nibbles on our ears. Very playful, but loves to cuddle and be close to her human friend. She does well with other doggies.

Forever home:Missy would do well with a family that is looking for a loving compaion that likes to have lots of kisses and a doggie by their side all the time. We do not want to put Missy in with a family with small children becuase Missy may get injured because of her small size.

Contact: Please contact Missy's foster mom at romanpegleg@aol.com for more information and an application to apply for her.

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to Missy's foster mom at romanpegleg@aol.com

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $100 for senior dogs (9 years +), $275 for small breed dogs and $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
