Libby's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Libby's Story...
Libby is an adorable ~ 1 year old purebred cocker pup rescued from a small scale puppy mill that was closing. Luckily she was spared spending the rest of her life in a cage churning out litter after litter of puppies. She is a little shy but very sweet and playful once comfortable and loves other dogs. She is looking for a calmer home that will socialize her and give her time to adjust to a real home. She has a gorgeous unusual chocolate coat.. Please submit an application if you are interested.

We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes or boarding kennels and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Libby, a Oak Ridge Cocker Spaniel puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Oak Ridge, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel puppy from a breeder in Oak Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
