My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Max the magnificent! Max was pulled from death row at an animal shelter. He is such a marvelous dog. All he wants to do is run and play. He certainly won’t turn down a good petting session either! Max thinks he's a lap dog. Every time someone sits down to play, Max immediately makes a beeline for the lap. He knows a few commands and he listens extremely well. He plays well with his foster family's 8 year old human son and also with their personal dogs. If you're looking for a sweet and loving dog to be your next family member, look no further than Max.
A note from Max:
My people at CPR have one wish and that's for ME to have a home of my own for the holidays. Because they know that Christmas is a time of year for giving, they are giving my adopter a $100 break on my adoption fee. They hope that you'll use the $100 to get me some nummy treats or training. (Actually I want the nummy treats but they suggested the training....they are thieves of joy but I love them anyway)
This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $400 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
